Programming/Php Whiz Needed - (Project) (Atlanta North (Dulth/Alpharetta))

I am looking for someone to do a php project for me. This is a relatively simple project and after talking to several "techie" friends they've informed me that it shouldn't take more than a week or 2 to finish. (maybe less)

AS3 Papervision Developer Needed for Mini Game (Los Angeles)

We are looking to build a mini Flash game with Papervision (Paper Vision).

The game will involve the player to move forward on an obstacle course. The camera will be behind the player (think Pole Position). The player must be able to move left and right, slow down, go off simple jumps, and slow down and speed up. The foreground of the road must be reach the bottom of the frame. The road must also be visible all the way to the horizon. Our quick test have not been able to resolve this issue.

You must have experience with Papervision and can turn this around quickly.

I will soon be launching a consulting service to help applicants to MBA programs with their admissions essays and resumes.

Typically this means 4-6 essays of approximately 500 words each and a 1 page resume that is clean and professional.

My applicants will submit rough drafts of their essays and resume. Your job will be to review and edit these essays for content, style, and grammar. You will NOT be asked to write anybody’s essays for them. You will be asked to give substantial feedback, guidance, and aid in the creative process. For each essay you will need to make the necessary corrections (using track changes) plus write approximately 1 paragraph of suggestions. You will also edit and rewrite the applicant’s resume.

Your efforts will then be returned to the applicant for his rewrite. Then they’ll come back to you.

Including the initial round, there should be 3-5 rounds of this process (each successive round being more and more polished and requiring less and less work from you). Of course this also depends on how good you are. You are expected to turn around your rewrites within 2 days. Knowledge of the MBA admissions process is a plus. Strong creative writing skills are ESSENTIAL. Ability to handle tight deadlines is important. We only help applicants who are applying to the top 5 business schools in the country and they expect you to be good.

Depending on demand you may be asked to work with multiple applicants at the same time. There is opportunity fo r continuing work until the end of MBA admissions season (early March ’09). But you will also be rated by applicants and only receive additional work if you maintain good ratings. Appointment Setter/Sales Assistant (Adv. Sales) (Brentwood)

We seek someone methodical to work the phones and call on prospective advertising clients. We sell print and website ads. One day you might be working restaurants; the next day it might be real estate agents; the next day Hollywood studios; the next day something else.

You will set up appointments for our senior AEs who will actually go out, meet the client, do the deal, etc. Your role is to generate the lead in the first place. A good appointment setter is expected to set up one good appointment per hour.

Great phone voice, friendly demeanor and persistence needed. You also need to be organized and keep track of calls made, etc.

Typical shifts are 3-4 hours a day, 2-5 days a week, depending on your schedule and aptitude. We're pretty flexible. If you want to work on a commission-only basis, you can do this from home.

For those who work out of our Brentwood office, you will get $8 an hour as an advance against 5% of all sales that result from appointments you set up.

It might take 20 calls to get one hot lead; you can't get discouraged when you hear the first 19 "no's." Each "no" just brings you that much closer to a "yes"!

This can be quite lucrative for a person who likes this and who is good at it. If you make an appointment an hour and your senior AE closes every third appointment you set up (typical), and if our typical deal runs about $3,000, you'd get 5% of that, or $150. If it took you three hours' worth of phone calls in order to make this happen, you're actually earning $50 an hour!

There are no guarantees, some are great at this, some aren't. We can usually tell how well you will do after about two weeks. Experience is a big plus, you'll know what you're getting yourself into here. Some love it, some hate it. Times are tougher than normal right now, no doubt about it. But that's why people should WANT to advertise, they need to generate customers, too.

The AE you will be assigned to typically won't close a deal on the first appointment, it can easily take 3-4 visits, so there is some lag time here before you get up to speed. We'll need your help putting together prospect lists, that takes some time. We'll get you started, but as soon as possible, we want you to be able to work on your own, generating your own leads, making the calls, keeping this all organized. Facility with computers, sending out emails, doing searches, etc. is a big plus.

If you discover you really like advertising sales, you can become an AE someday.

Responsibilities:

Required Education and Experience:

• CPA licensed
• +4 years of professional experience in review of individual, partnership, corporation and trust tax returns
• Experience working with off shore resources, outsourcing (BPO) experience a real plus!
• Strong technical skills, particularly tax prep software (ProSystems Fx), MS Suite.

1. Primary application is a Windows Mobile 5/6 project written in C#.
2. Sync to server (SQL 2005) using MS's new ADO.Net sync capability.
3. Mobile data is in SQL CE.
4. Project is on a short timeline, with the need to finish system for initial deployment to first customer by 12/31.

Mobile system is 95-99% complete on forms, data, and workflow, and an Alpha version of the application with local data is in the hands of the first customer; further refinement and bug fixes will be required following alpha testing. Basic sync framework and components have been built and lightly tested, but not stressed.
We are a very small company that is internally funded, working on systems that are niche extensions to one of the Microsoft Dynamics accounting systems. A second customer has already committed, and their needs will include some customization to the existing design. The next few months will be stressful as we constantly reassess and fine-tune the application, our business model, and juggle customer demands; if you expect a quiet, slow-paced, peaceful environment this will not be it. Product Newsletter Writer

Our organization is seeking several qualified and efficient writers to write, on a regular basis, shopping/product related-pieces of copy of 30-50 words for a unique shopping/trade website. Specific understanding of the products is not necessary, but being able to create unique product descriptions is an asset.

Compensation for this project will be on a per description/per word basis. Depending on the number of products written per week, pay can vary from $.05 to $.10 per word, with increased compensation available for writers who are able to do over 100 descriptions per week, when available.
