Product Manager - Online dictionary (telecommute)

LoveToKnow is a fast growing online media company and is looking for an experienced Product Manager for our online dictionary/language reference site: www.YourDictionary.com. The position's responsibilities will encompass all aspects of web product management including product planning, coordination of development resources, competitive analysis and feature testing. Be a key member of one of the fastest growing online media companies, while skipping the commute. This is a telecommuting position (25-30 hours per week) with flexible working hours where you can work from home.

Experience required:
• Minimum 3 years product management or program management with an online developer
• Thorough knowledge and deep experience with seeing features through the development process, from specification to post-implementation verification and testing
• Strong understanding of UI, Design, SEO, and CPM optimization.
• Keen, flexible and aggressive intellect with excellent conceptual thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills.
• A detail-oriented personality
• Pro-active self starter with ability to navigate projects with limited supervision.
• Imaginative and passionate advocate for the user
• Highly organized and ability to prioritize tasks.
• MBA desired, but not required.

Duties:
• Track planned features and prioritize items for development schedule
• Create descriptive feature specifications for use by developers and graphic designers
• Lead and collaborate with development, QA, Sales, Marketing and Bus. Dev.
• Take lead roll in PR and Marketing efforts including press releases, contests and acquisition of registered users/subscribers
• Track competitors and design winning strategies
• Conduct user surveys, market research, competitive analysis, etc
• Provide professional customer service to the sales team, account management team and our clients
• Verify implemented features, track bugs and manage QA efforts
• Create content for web site, email newsletters and word of the day mailings
• Coordinate with engineers, graphic designers, web producers and writers/editors to create needed content
• Contact outside vendors to license tools and content for use on dictionary site
• Manage forum / dictionary community
• Protect the vision of the fastest growing free online dictionary reference site.
