Coordinating Editor (Web Content) - Work from Home

We are seeking a Contract “Work from Home” Coordinating Editor who will be responsible for managing content development and coordinate publishing of web content including articles, forums, blogs, articles across a team of writers. The Coordinating Editor is responsible for delivering all scheduled content on time and budget.

More specifically, the responsibilities include:
Develop and coordinate web content across a team of writers
Develop and Convert “hot” topics into headlines
Impeccable research skills.
Plagiarism and Fact-checking
Edit articles for style, content, and readability

Qualifications:
• This position requires exceptional writing and editing ability, experience managing writers and a background in coordinating large projects.
• BA/BS degree in Journalism preferred. Marketing Communications/ Writing/English degrees a plus.
• Experience programming content on the web and working with online mechanisms (content syndication, email newsletters, and special promotions) to develop and grow audiences.
• Strong editorial sensibility, including a well-developed news sense and the ability to create "hot topic" content collections.
• Experience in leading content development for blogging, forums, widgets, etc.
• Strong attention to detail, solid project management skills and good follow-through
• Must be well versed in social media outlets, consumer engagement and nuances of each
• Creative and innovative with a passion and enthusiasm for advanced social technologies, building community and fostering new relationships
• Deep commitment to achieving the highest possible quality experience for our users and members
