Lead Developer
The primary responsibilities of this position involve technical leadership for a team of 8-10 web developers, software development, architecture, and application support. Candidates should possess a minimum of 10+ years of overall experience with solid, hands-on development in large, commercial-grade web application development environments (100 or more users). Minimum of 2+ years as acting technical team lead required with a proven track record of project delivery, technical acumen, and efficient multitasking. Candidate will work directly with the team’s System Manager to coordinate business/project goals. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced, team environment with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver projects within specified deadlines.
The development environment consists of:
• Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, JavaScript, XML
• Struts/Tiles
• Spring MVC
• Hibernate
• EJB 2.0 (session and entity beans minimum; JMS beans optional)
• Websphere 6.0/RAD6
• Web Services (Axis and .Net)
• AJAX
• Design Patterns
• .Net/C# (optional but desired)
• Adobe Flex (optional)
• Oracle 9i and soon to be 10g/ PLSQL / database query optimization/tuning
• ISeries/AS400 (UNIX) exp
Supported Applications
• Java/J2EE web-based call center application which supports multiple call centers in the U.S. and Canada.
• Java/J2EE web-based customer facing web applications in support of various clients/retailers (.Net web services apply to certain retail websites).
• J2SE batch processes running on iSeries/AS400 platform.
• .Net common framework application for .Net web services.
• Application support accounting for approximately 40% of the team’s time overall.
