Job Description:
Salient Surgical Technologies, Inc. is seeking to build a team of talented writers to create feature-style profiles of its hospital, surgeon and patient customers. These profiles are part of an ongoing project to fashion individual narratives around an international group of healthcare professionals and patients. Writers will be responsible for scheduling and conducting interviews (both in person and by phone) with healthcare professionals and laypersons, securing appropriate releases, and using web-based tools to track contacts and maintain communications with the corporate office. Salient Surgical Technologies will publish these profiles on its website as they are completed.
Job Skills:
Proven interview skills with people from all walks of life; Strong narrative skills; Ability to synthesize observations of a complex organization into a unique selling proposition and present it as a compellingly human story; Exceptional organizational and communication skills; Minimum of a bachelor's degree in marketing, communication or English and 2+ years experience as a professional writer.
