Ameritocracy (www.ameritocracy.com) is looking for smart, fast researchers to fact-check statements from politicians and the media to help grow our community. We are a site where anyone can sign up to help keep an eye on what politicians, the media, and other organizations are saying - our community rates sound bites for their Accuracy and Relevancy.
You will be writing brief, source-cited statements that are no more than a few hundred characters in length. We place a high value on objectivity and multiple viewpoints, so people of all political views who are commited to information integrity should apply. You will be identified as a staff member on the site for transparency, and will gain or lose reputation just as any other user would!
Also, you will be doing work to help get backlinks to content out to relevant blogs and communities interested in the content and interaction going on on Ameritocracy.

* Location: Seattle / Telecommute
* Compensation: Per-piece rate. Expect average rate to be around $20-40/hr, depending on quality and your expertise. PR work included, negotiably.
