Our client, a national telecommunications, broadband and digital TV services company, is seeking a Sales Representative for a full-time, permanent position. The client is looking for a candidate with 3-5 years of Telecom Sales experience to sell in the Upper Midwest territory (Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, N & S Dakota). The candidate for this position will be responsible for developing / penetrating new accounts and maintaining sales / closing business deals within assigned territory. Other responsibilities and job functions include:
* Develop customer base necessary to meet all sales forecasts and quotas
* Develop effective time and territory management plan to effectively contact key customers on a regular / timely basis
* Must control sales of $2.5 to $10 Million in annual sales
* Maintain 3-5 quality sales calls per day
* Must maintain a high-level of product and vendor knowledge
* Attend trade shows / state associations meeting as required
Required Skills / Knowledge and Abilities:
* Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university
* 3-5 years of major account experience in the Data Communications / Telephony services
* Knowledge of Data Communications (LAN / WAN)
* Knowledge of Telco Voice Products / Transmission
* Familiar with Data Networking Technologies
* PC Literate
* Good organization / time management skills
* Great attitude, High energy, self-starter with excellent communications skills (verbal / written)
* Ability to travel 3-4 nights per week
The client prefers candidates currently living in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. This is a work from home position with a good base plus commission plan.
