Job Description
Currently have a contact need for a Perl Developer to help develop new tools for the Security Group. Ideally the candidate would reside in our Charlotte, NC location, however the manager is open to potential telecommuting.
The successful candidate will have experience (3+ years) in Perl Devleopment.
Good communication skills, both written and oral. He/she would be interacting with business analysts and users to gather and document requirements during the analysis phase, and interact with other technical staff and management through the complete development lifecycle.
The candidate should be self-motivated and have a proven record of managing their own time and work.
They will need to provide regular status reporting to their manager and be able to assess potential issues and risks to project timelines. Experience in medium to large scale development projects and teams is required.
Experience with TCL, Web Services, XML, Java or .Net. Familiar with networking services such as DNS, DHCP, Netflow, RADIUS are a plus. Unix, Linux and Windows knowledge are a MUST.
