We're looking for an experienced financial writer to assist us in putting together several premium/research reports for our publications. Here's a closer look at the details . . .
Position: Freelance as needed
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Location: Work will need to be done at your home office and submitted via email
StreetAuthority.com is looking for someone to contribute to several premium/research reports for our various publications. The content we'd like to see is both professional and thoroughly researched -- our readers will likely be making large investments based on the content you create, so accuracy and clarity is essential.
You can see an example of a current premium report here:

StreetAuthority is not in the business of covering daily stock market news. We provide long-term investing analysis and ideas, and all of our information is backed by solid fundamental research.
This is an excellent opportunity to enter a freelance writing position in an established and growing company. Depending on our needs and the quality of your work, this could become a very active position with the potential for several articles/reports each month.
Qualified candidates should have a passion for the stock market, a strong background in equity research, and solid writing/editing skills.
You will need to have actively followed the U.S. equity markets on a daily basis throughout the past five years (or longer). The ideal candidate will also have an extensive portfolio of stock market-related articles for our staff to review -- examples of previous premium reports are an obvious plus.
Requirements
• Several years of previous experience at one or more of the following organizations: an investment bank, brokerage, hedge fund, mutual fund, or another financial publishing firm.
• Intimate knowledge of how to research investment ideas and use fundamental analysis to find high-quality investment opportunities.
• Several years of experience in financial editing / writing.
How to Apply
To express your interest in this position, please send the following:
1.) A copy of your current resume
2.) Two or three recent writing samples. This writing MUST cover the U.S. or foreign equity markets. It should both display your writing style and showcase the depth and quality of your equity research skills. Candidates submitting examples of premium reports will be given special consideration
3.) A cover letter that provides a brief explanation of why you're interested in the position, and why you feel it will be a good fit for all parties involved.
When you've completed all of the steps above, please submit all requested materials to employment@streetauthority.com. We appreciate your interest in working with StreetAuthority!
* Location: Maryland
* Compensation: compensation commensurate with project and experience
* Telecommuting is ok.
* This is a contract job.
