Leading online travel company seeks local .NET/C# contract programmer to help with current project. You will be joining a existing in house team of developers/programmers. The position is currently a contract position but the opportunity for full time placement may be available based on performance. Once you are familar with the code and IDE telecommuting is ok.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Developing, Coding, enhancing, maintaining, supporting, and testing existing public websites and new web applications (ASP.Net)
• Recommending process and/or system improvement
• Performing monitoring/maintenance tasks on production systems
Required Education and/or Experience
• Experience with DotNetNuke is preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
• Strong programming background in C# 2.0
• Strong SQL Server 2005 DB skills including relational DB design and stored procedure development
• Competence with HTML, XML, and CSS
• Experience with the Visual Studio IDE and Visual SourceSafe
• Experience with Ajax and Javascript
• Experience with web services and SOAP
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming
• Ability to work in a fast-pace, multi-project environment
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Passionate, self motivated and detail oriented
