Writers wanted for iPhone App Review site

AppCraver.com, a popular iPhone app review and news site, is looking for two or three motivated writers with a passion for the iPhone or iPod touch. Fascination with technology, gaming, entertainment, social networking, or digital productivity is also a plus.

We’re not looking for fanboys, but you should have a genuine interest in iPhone technology — this can be anything from a gps-based jogging tracker to interactive games to a note-taking app to a virtual pet. You don’t have to love everything, but should be versatile with an ability to recognize an app’s intended audience and discern whether it meets their needs. We will try to match assignments to your personality and interests, but a willingness to adapt is important.

You should be able to write in friendly, conversational voice that still has a hint of authority and experience. Our readers are interested in discovering new apps and learning more about their phones through reviews and tutorials. You should be able to draw from your experience and iPhone passion to guide readers in this journey.

You must have your own iPhone. Grammar and spelling mistakes will not be tolerated.

AppCraver.com writers are freelancers who do not work on-site. You can set your own schedule and work at your own pace. However, you should be able to commit to writing 5 app reviews per week. Writers are paid $15-20 per review and reimbursed for the cost of the app. We pay via paypal.

To apply please send two writing samples or links to online samples to jobs@appcraver.com. Please include a list of your top five apps with a one paragraph description of each.

* Compensation: $15-20 per article
* Telecommuting is ok.
