The Biotech Capital Group is a Chicago-based capital firm working exclusively within the Biotechnology industry. We are looking for a part-time to full-time Research Associate to assist the CEO and CFO directly with the ever-increasing workload. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, researching venture capital firms and angel groups whose sole focus is the biotech sector, making contact with large Bio-Pharma companies in order to establish a relationship with our firm, researching potential clients for funding, SEC registration, and business plan drafting. Your job will also include assistance in Investor Relations and researching Biotechnology companies that our firm will initiate research coverage on.
The right candidate will work from his/her own designation (no commuting or telecommuting required). Salary is 100% commission-based and candidate will receive 10% of any deals that our firm closes if you introduce us to the funding source. This position is ideal for a current college student or recent graduate interested in learning the business from the ground up and one who is interested in contributing to the growth of a profitable firm. We also welcome resumes of candidates who have prior experience in this sector. Upward mobility within the organization is certainly possible for the right candidate.
Requirements: Economics/Business/Finance degree, a desire and ability to learn the basics of these areas quickly, a working knowledge of the sciences, a high level of maturity, diligence, hard work, motivation and discipline. Your success in this position (i.e., how much money you make) is predicated solely on how much time you put into it. Therefore, the harder you work the more likely it is you will make a substantial amount of money.
