McCormick Theological Seminary (http://www.mccormick.edu) is seeking a web design and development firm to design and rebuild our institution’s web presence.
We have recognized the need to rebuild our web presence from the bottom up taking into account all facets of seminary work and community. We are seeking someone who will be able to help walk us through the structural and aesthetic considerations of our internet communication strategy and turn that into a creative and effective reflection of McCormick’s mission, vision and values. Cultural sensitivity and communication of McCormick’s identity through design are key.
The successful candidate will have experience working with foundational web 2.0 languages (XHTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Ajax, Java, etc.) and will be able to integrate existing services (Google Apps APIs, flickr, Moodle, and Raiser's Edge, etc.) with the new site for internal and external customers as appropriate, as well as developing new service portals to meet identified needs.
This is a contract position with no ongoing upkeep responsibilities but there is the possibility of redevelopment work in the future.
Preference will be shown to contractors who can provide for some face time as we work together on this project
