The www.bionicturtle.com is about rich media learning for the aspiring finance (or business) professional or student (i.e., not retail investing but rather professional and academic finance). Our flagship product is an online full-service preparation aid for the financial risk manager (FRM), the world's broadest, toughest finance certification. Our approach is anchored in a web-based approach to elearning: screencast tutorials, cutting edge flash quiz technology, community forum, and online spreadsheets for interactive learning. This approach might be the future because we are growing fast and getting all the buzz.
We are looking for a few subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop, or co-develop, new elearning products. A product consists of a series of screencast tutorials, supporting collateral (varies), and forum support.
Ideal role is part-time, independent contractor (remote/telecommute is fine). Compensation is advance (or development fee) plus a significant percentage of revenues. Since we are self-funded, I am open to more entrepreneurial arrangements, if the stars align in our favor. The ideal role for the SME is mini-Product Manager of their course; i.e., soup-to-nuts responsibility in exchange for majority revenue share on the everlasting tail. But open to arrangements. I am looking to develop the following courses (based on requests/demand):
* Introduction to Quantitative Finance
* Introduction to Risk (co-develop with me)
* Introduction to Statistics
* Excel for Finance
* Introduction to Financial Statement Analysis
What you need to bring:
* World-class subject matter competency. You don't need to the world's rocket scientist; a solid foundation coupled with good communication is more important
* Proficiency in basic courseware tools, or willingness to learn; e.g., camtasia, PowerPoint, EditGrid, illustrator
* Should be passionate about your topic and deliriously wanting to share it.
