FlipKey is looking for a part-time contract designer to assist with our growing website and marketing channel needs. The person in this position will be responsible for assisting with the design of website enhancements, marketing collateral, ad banners and additional media design support. This position provides varied experience and creative freedom to bring your designs and visions to a large online audience. The position entails flexible working hours and availability, with an average time requirement of 10-20 hours per week. Competitive market rate compensation and telecommuting is acceptable.
About FlipKey: FlipKey is majority owned by TripAdvisor, and provides a trusted resource to help consumers find vacation rental accommodations online. Unlike hotels, it is very difficult for consumers to locate and book a vacation home confidently. FlipKey is tackling this problem through collaborative social inputs, back-end booking mechanisms, and additional tactics we simply refer to as “special sauce.” Our offices are located in downtown Boston.
Requirements: —3+ years of website design experience; —No HTML/CSS or other programming skills required; —Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, with an emphasis on Photoshop layout and Illustrator design skills; —A deep appreciation for web media and a passion for the Internet; —Collaborative working approach with ability to work independently and remotely; —A strong eye for design and/or graphic design capability
Sample responsibilities: Design new website features for management of vacation rental properties; Conceive and implement designs for marketing collateral and conferences; Create and design ad banners and company marketing material; Work closely with management to address enhancements to site experience; Support Web Development team with images and design as needed
