Blogger needed for site that covers daily news (with opinion and analysis) on oil-related topics. We are looking for someone who can pick up the latest news from the industry and post it with some brief analysis and insight. The content of each post will mostly be at your discretion; however the topic will need to 'fit' into the theme of the site.
These would be short posts, typically under 500 words and would need to be posted regularly as new news arrives.
Requirements:
- Willingness to learn about the oil and gas industry
- Ability to monitor news and write in near real time
- Ability to post 2-4 times per week (depending on agreement reached)
- Engaging writer with a sharp wit and strong voice
We may be willing to take more than one applicant if we find the right fit. Writers will have weekly contact with the company’s blog manager and will receive ongoing editorial guidance.
How to apply
Flat monthly rate or pay-per-post. Please send your rates along with writing samples. The chosen blogger(s) will be responsible for 2-4 posts per week, averaging 300-350 words. All posts will be submitted in Wordpress with a corresponding picture. Please only apply if you're serious about the opportunity. You must have excellent writing skills and be deadline driven. It is expected that your work is free of spelling errors and grammatically correct.
