A small, rapidly growing accounting company, located in Stafford, VA is looking for a staff accountant to add to its dynamic team. The candidate will be a part of a positive work environment and have the ability to grow with company and fine tune his/her accounting skills. Telecommute options are available after the first month!
Salary: $40 - 43k with quarterly bonuses
REQUIRED:
BS Accounting
3-5 years experience in the responsibilities below
QuickBooks, Excel, and Word
Must be willing to travel to local client sites in VA
Must be hardworking, honest,& able to handle multiple projects, & meet deadlines
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Other:
Government contracting and/or non-profit experience a plus
Tax preparation experience a plus
Deltek a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recording the regular accounting transactions for multiple businesses:
-Deposits, AR, Checks, Credit card transactions, AP
-Fixed Asset maintenance and depreciation
-Debt and equity transactions, tracking balances
-Monthly bank and account reconciliations
-Monthly closing and financial statement reporting
Working with owner on special accounting projects and requirements
May work at client site several days in a month (locally)
Attend business meetings as necessary
Make new client appointments as necessary
Maintain client file records
Support as needed
