Position Description:
Work with our small team of creative software engineers to improve existing software and develop new applications built around mobile communications. Experience in high volume, highly available server systems and a firm understanding of the intricacies of mobile data networks is ideal.
Responsibilities include:
Design, implement, and test client applications/features in J2ME and Blackberry.
Actively participate in porting applications to new devices.
Work closely with product management and users to understand product requirements, and together with server-side colleagues develop optimum network-aware products.
Position Requirements:
A minimum of a BS in Computer Science and 5 years of relevant programming experience.
A minimum of 3 years recent experience developing advanced, network-aware applications on mobile devices using J2ME. Experience with Blackberry is required. Experience with BREW is desirable.
Must have broad experience across multiple programming languages on both client and server.
Experience with developing across a wide array of mobile devices. Must understand differences in mobile platform implementation.
Experience with deploying production mobile applications on major carriers.
Practical experience with mobile markup languages such as XHTML/CHTML/WAP.
